I started packing yesterday. I had bought a lovely new wheelie suitcase that was huge so thought I'd have plenty of room. Then realised I had bought half of the world's supply of everything to take with me. It all fitted in the case but then I weighed it and it was over the weight limit (my parents having assured me I'd be nowhere near the limit). Dang. Repacked after throwing out some stuff. Slightly under the weight limit now but still haven't put everything in it yet so will need to have another go later. 9 weeks is a long time and I need so much stuff - smart clothes for hospital, warm clothes for night, cool clothes for day, walking boots, most of a hospital pharmacy to reassure my mother, it all adds up!
Anyway I doubt I will be able to update this before I get to Peru, unless there is a convienient internet connection at an airport. So next time I write something it will be completely incoherent as I wil be jet lagged and dying of altitude sickness and hyped up on coca leaf tea...cool!
