Yesterday I boiled nipples - I don't recall ever doing that before but I guess you can never be too clean! I think I've had every vaccination known to man too. I'll be bringing medications for several possible ailments for both me and Bella. No illness will dare touch us! Of course, I'll share these remedies with Tina. Although if I know her, she'll be bringing her own pharmacy.
I'm wondering if I have enough room in my suitcases . . . I already shipped Tina a box of stuff for her to pack in her suitcases. How can a small baby require so much stuff? I haven't even started packing my own stuff yet. I may have to leave the family-size bag of red licorice behind - darn!
Tina and I arrive in Guatemala City around 12:30 p.m. (CST) on January 31st and Bella will be brought to our hotel around 4:30 p.m. by the foster mother and a translator. She'll stay with us until Monday afternoon. I know it will be so hard to give her back at the end of the five days. I hope the Guatemalan courts work quickly to get the process for grandfathering in place. It hasn't been smooth so far. Things keep changing weekly. Please keep us in your prayers! I think the earliest I would bring Bella home for good would be May - but it may be longer.
Please check back later this week for new entries and photos. Thank you for sharing my special journey!
