Concrete jungle where dreams are made of
There's nothing you can't do..."
I can picture myself living here. I love this place. So much to see and so much to do!
When we arrived at the hotel I was really excited...
We got to our room and it was the size of a shoe box (literally). The room was a bit of a let down as we had been pretty hung over from Vegas, and looking forward to a snooze before we went
out and explored. We could not even unpack our bags or anything that's how small it was.
We did a tour on the Hudson River and saw all the famous sites such as Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and all the bridges. Had a really good time...Jordan and I have noticed that
everyone on the tour was really pushy and annoying! We have noticed that allot over here.
No one wants to move to give someone else a better photo opportunity or everyone races to get off and everyone is always in a rush. Oh well, doesn't bother me to much. But people need to use some manners!
At night we have been going to dinner and having drinks and than sleeping in until 12! The food
here is wonderful and cheap too! The other night we had pasta and last night we
had Japanese. There are lots of vegetarian options here too.
I had a veggie burger with crasions in it and today I had a vegan sandwich with
pumpkin and walnuts. Delicious!!!
Last night we went to Times Square and Lady Gaga was doing a performance on a TV show.
We managed to have a glimpse of her. People were everywhere screaming and we could not get passed the crowd (they could not even actually hear her, as she was in the studio) Anyway it was good to see her!!
It has been really hard getting up and adjusting to the time. Also not getting
a good nights sleep as there is an air conditioning vent either below or above (or both) which is
on 24/7 and it sounds like a rocket about to launch. Ha ha. Its quite funny but also
ridiculous! Ok enough about the hotel...
Today we did the tour of central park on bikes with a guide. It was amazing. The park is huge and
beautiful! We had an amazing guide who talked us through every thing and stopped for
us to get off and have a look at all the famous sights. We were in the very very middle of
NY today (and people say the spot is the center of the world). What an amazing feeling.
The design, architecture and art was lovely, so many things in one park. So green too!
Everyone was walking their dogs, and I think we saw maybe 5 sausage dogs (my favorite).
Jordan spotted out a squirrel and it ran in front of us. There were also turtles in all of the lakes, very cute. We also stopped at Shakespeare Garden- which has every single flower or plant that appears in Shakespeare plays.
It was mind blowing.
What a great day, Jordan wanted the bike riding to be faster, but the pace was great for me.
Now we are off to go and get a massage, have some drinks at the pub and followed by some nice
Tomorrow we leave to Maine and we are very excited!
