Saturday 19 August
Got woke up at 1130 by receptionist asking me to leave as check out time was 11. I felt so bad I asked to stay another night and slept till 6. Still felt bad so saw Madzik at work and went for Indian Chinese then walked round town, absolutely rammed, no crowd control lots of jostling to see an outdoor concert so I went to Absinthe to recover. Left about 11 after seeing drunken Brit couple dancing on the bar.
Sunday 20 August
Up at 9, showered with broken shower, checked out breakfast but it looked shit so didn't pay 2€ for it. Caught train to Malbork to see Teutonic knights headquarters castle. More or less completely rebuilt after WW2 with loads of shrapnel marks all over the old bits, 3 hour guided tour then back to Gdansk for a night out with Madzik...again. Met her from work, sat at bar in Absinthe then in comfy seats, while I was in the toilets 2 blokes joined us. Madzik was getting on really well with one of them, although he was an arsehole with me. His mate left so I went and sat outside to leave them to it. I left before they did and couldn't find toilet in hostel with inevitable results. Dreamt girl showing me the way to toilet from opposite corner of exit, so could be fact.
Monday 21 August
Up showered, caught train to Elblag, found campsite with chalets near canal. Went round museum - closed, tower - closed perhaps it was because it was a Monday. Elblag looked like it was under construction. Went for some food, a sleep then out for a few beers in the construction site.
