Finals in Florence
Entry 24 of 25 | show all | print this entry |
FINALS WEEK! So don't listen to what anyone says about classes in Florence. They are not easy so you can travel, it turns out that some are really hard! I however, did not figure this out until about half way through the semester. So finals week is about trying to get the best grades I can out of one crazy semester. I have no regrets though because I do believe this trip is more about what you learn outside the classroom...but don't tell my business teacher Alessandro! so far: Ethics...really hard but I think I did okay Operations...not so hard just really annoying to study for Religion...no final! Design...Great critique of my artwork and one of my teachers took one of my pieces to hang in his office! (Look mom I really am an artist!) Management...haven't taken Marketing....haven't taken So I still have a bit more studying to do but it's so hard to do when I am preoccupied with the idea of going home. Last week I was so excited to go but now my view has changed to not being ready to leave this beautiful place where I have made the most amazing friends and shared experiences with them that I will never forget. Everyone keeps telling me that it's only 4 months until I see them again...but I think about how much I have changed in the past 4 months and I can only wonder what it will be like when we all are reunited. I am also a bit nervous to go back to Spokane, I haven't seem my friends in a summer and a semester. Will it still be the same? Plus I am moving into a new house with new girls and that transition will be hard but so fun! The good news is that my life i Florence is only a call away day or night and my life is Spokane is starting up again! I miss everyone and I am so excited to go back! I get to make cookies with my mom and hang out with my dad, I get to celebrate John's 18th birthday with him! So I have a ton to look forward to its just hard to say goodbye to my life here. The thing is, I will get to take everything I have learned about myself and who I am back to my life in the states. That is the most important thing. I really feel like I have grown up so much after being here and I cannot wait to share my experiences with my friends and family! Now I just have to survive the rest of finals week! (6 days till I'm home!)
