Wednesday

Today we went to the Argentinian side of the falls - we crossed the border and got another stamp. But we soon discovered a protest closing the only road in and out of the Argentinian and Brazilian borders. We had to wait until they broke for lunch until we could arrive at the falls. It was interesting to see but quite frustrating - they caused alot of people to miss planes but this helps get their point across. They were demonstrating about the poor conditions of schools and will continue to demonstrate in various locations around Argentina.

Once we got to the park however, we forgot all about the protest. Three quarters of the waterfalls are on the Argentina side and set in 65,000 hectares of woodlands. We decided to go on a speed boat to cool down and we sure did A cute animal!
A cute animal!
! He took us under 2 waterfalls just to make sure we got drenched - absolutely amazing but not long enough.

We then went to the top view point to stand over Garganta del Diablo (Devilīs Throat) the main waterfall. It was breathtaking and the pictures donīt do it justice! If you have the chance to visit here - do so.

We then ran in 35 degree heat to catch the train to the lower circuit to get different perspectives and other waterfalls. On the way back we saw Monkeys and a Caymen. We then sat in another traffic jam and waited for the protest to finish but all in all it was a fantastic day.

That night we decided to go to a recommended show (Oh my god!!!) - we could dance better than them! They had plastic fruit on their heads and very frilly dresses.

The food wasnīt great but a couple of the acts were very good and it is good to see a different cultureīs idea of a good night out. We found at the very end why our tour leader (male) recommended it. Three virtually naked ladies doing the samba - we have never seem him smile so much!!
