We took a 7 hour bus journey to Curitiba and this felt it because we didnīt have air conditioning! We resorted to using a pen knife to unscrew the screws in the windows!
How hot did we feel.
Arrived in Curitiba to find nearly everything shut, except the Mall. We went for some very plain mexican but this was made up by the gelataria. Why donīt they have these in England?!? The ice cream was fantastic!
Some of the group went to the cinema but we decided to go home and we managed to get lost even though it was one straight road back to our hotel (No comments Nici or Richard - there is no comparison to the Humber Bridge incident!!!)
Monday
The weather is hot again - woo hoo!!
We had a free day in Curitiba to discover that the museums, galleries and public parks are all closed. So we spent the first part of the day shopping, what a hardship!
Managed to buy some cheap Havianas (trendy flip flops) - the main street has about 20 shoe shops, unbelievably they were all busy.
We then set off to find the botanical gardens - it looked so simple on the map. After 1 hour looking for the gardens we gave up! Weīve certainly burned off our breakfast cake today!!
We then went for the night bus setting off at 9pm arriving in Foz Do Iguazu at 6am. The seats fully reclined but very little leg room, an experience.
