Wednesday
We took a 4.5 hour bus journey to Paraty (pronounced Parachee), which is a lovely town next to the sea. Paraty gets flooded once a month but it didn´t happen whilst we were here (thankfully!!). We had lunch and then went to some waterfalls - you could slide down the rocks into a pool below. This wasn´t very safe and would not be allowed in England but Julie did it anyway - backwards!!!! Photo evidence to follow!
Thursday
We decided to go on boat trip out into the Atlantic, visiting beaches and snorkelling. However it was very cloudy and poured with rain - no sun tan today! It was still enjoyable with a great lunch and a few beers. Amazingly we weren´t sea sick as there was no current which made it really easy to swim in. It poured down with rain for most of the night - it feels like we are back in England!!!
