I've heard so much about this festival the past weeks - how she's never attended it, how she is so excited, how she's trying to find people to accompany her. She's purchased passes that allow her to visit as many times as she wants. Now here we are, prepared to board a shuttle that would take us to the infamous Laguna Beach Art Festival. Let's find out what the hype is all about..

First Stop: Art-A-Fair
Quaint set up. There is a restaurant towards the back. We meet an artist who explains the process of bronze casting. Turns out the artists shown at this particular festival were chosen by a jury - select artists only.

Second Stop: Sawdust
The name is due to the fact that the walkways are covered in Sawdust. It's much louder and more crowded here. There are glass blowing and pottery demonstrations! This place is great! All the artists in this festival call Laguna Beach their home - locals only show per say. Such characters! There is one long-haired blonde man in a kilt that boasts to mining all the turquoise in his jewelry! There are bands that play on different stages. Cris and her uncle settle on one and they eat their lunch while listening to the sounds of a local folk artist.

Last Stop: Festival of the Arts
The cream of the crop. All the artists showcased here have mastered their craft - a reason why their art work is so much more expensive. Good thing we came to admire, not purchase. There is a good jazz trio on stage that draws Cris; we are parked here for a while, and after hours of music and art, it is time to go home.
