Another major travel night/day - bus to bus station, 8.15pm overnight bus to Df Nte, 6.00am bus to Tepotzotlan terminal then collectivo to the centre - eventually arrived about 7.00am.

After enjoying the sunrise over the church had to rest for a couple of hours - as ever, got little sleep on the bus!

Had been hoping to visit the town twice before, once when in DF but was earlier in the trip but had already spent 5 nights in the city & wasn't sure how long the whole trip would take so was being cautious. Passed close by during swine flu heights but was sure most things would be closed.

Big highlight was the 5 story aqueduct, apparently the tallest in the world - pretty impressive though had only 1/2 hour to look at it - in the middle of nowhere & my bus returned to town either in 1/2 hour or 4 hours - no way Jose I could fill that amount of time! Must have been built by some pretty rich folks but no evidence of who or why.

The other big attraction was the church, convent & all the associated buildings which are now closed for worship & are a museum, mainly of Jesuit/religious are & relics - not my cup of tea but the buildings pleasant & the chapel and church impresively ornamental, the chapel lots of gold & mirrors, the church tons of gold & statues.

Other than that Tepotz` was another pleasant pricey cobbled colonial village, a Pueblo Magico, which will soon get swallowed up in the outskirts of Mexico City.
