A brief stop at an ATM and it was good by to Thailand. On a long tail boat to Loas, to our ultimate goal Tubing.
Huay Xai
After paying boarder control and heading up the hill into Huay Xai we went straight to the travel agents where we were told there was no flight as it wasn't full. So the options we were left with were 10hr buss or 2 day boat. We could charter our own mini buss 120euro. But we had to leave in the morning. So this is what we did. We ate in a place with an aul one that just shouted at us and then plyed poker with tissue paper. Free coffee and on the bus for 10 hours of road blocks through mud slides and cattle, bumps, poverty, winding roads we arrived in Luang Prabang that evening.
