We got up fierce early on Saturday morning, a big day ahead. We packed some clothes and all met at reception. We got a quick pep talk on how to drive this pink 4-wheel drive beast of a motor. It was time to load up the 2 jeeps and head for the supermarket. Jake the snake sorted the B team out. Turns out she had been up all night previously and had a list made out for all of us. It was like Dale and Supermarket Sweep, and we had the jeep too making sure we all look the part. The A team were organized too and although they paid in at a bit more the the B team, we all had loads of food to keep us goin for the next few nights. Some of us bought boos the previous night and others stocked up there and then. We had plenty of goon, Jameson, other whiskey, loads of coke and vodka etc. Sleeping bags were stuffed full of booze so the glass wouldnt break. It was mayhem in the back of the jeep. All our gear was flying all over the place

. Laura did her best to keep everything in place, took a few knocks for good measure. We were on the road towards Fraser now with Clive and Laura the first to step up to the wheel...We got onto the ferry and after a short journey we arrived on the Island. Time to let rip with jeeps. Here is where the fun began for the B team who got lost several times. A big shout out must go to Sebastian Schumacher who was a class driver and made sure the B team didn't get stuck in the sand etc. Elaine on the other hand liked to drive through rivers We all made it to the big lake at some stage in the afternoon after our sandwiches. Here there was a race down a massive sand dune where Craig took the spoils ( Coaimhe gave him a dollar I think). Clive, Grahmo and Eduard gave him a run for his money too putting their lives on the line in this dangerous race and deserve an honorable mention! After we got back to the vans Laura and Conor decided to have a couple of slugs on a bottle of Jamey! Good idea at the time...We then set up camp and made dinner. We set up camp quite shabbily it must be said. Banana stuff, Steaks and Burgers were cooked by one team and then Morrissey cooked a great curry for the other team (actually, is it ready yet???). Laura had to be put to bed several times, the SP has the heart of a lion. There was a bit of goon on the bonnet, did some damage! The drinks began to flow and the singalongs were had...Fresh Prince, Gansters paradise). Thanks to Caoimhe's speakers we had plenty of inspiration, when the battery began to die we sand all the louder..

. And what about the "bit o' dort" Grahmo saw.....Night number one was complete and when we woke up in the morning as Christy himself would say "Oh Jaysus, never again"But there would be no rest for the wicked on this camping trip. We had our itinerary to follow which anticipated the low and high tides... we had to get moving, any hesitation and we could end up swimming with the sharks or being attached by the Dingos. In fairness to the A team they had some super human scout leading them along a merry dance so they rarely missed their checkpoints. They had the luxury of showering on that first morning in Fraser. For the B team it was enough to just get in the van and get going, we didn't know to where exactly...We all had our breakfast and all met up again at the champagne pools... Laura played the part of the sea monster and learned a valuable bit of info. Craigo and Clivo played a bit of footy with zee Zermans, and Grahmo and Conor had a wee nippy of Jim Beem on the beach. Eventually the B team made it to the showers where Morrissey and Conor paid homage to the Great Damien Dempsey

. The audience approved. It was then again time to set up camp for the last night on the Island. The tents were again pitched, again sub standard. There would also be a stormy night ahead so on the brightside we got plenty of water inside one or two of the tents. For the second night in a row Eduard the crazy Frenchman played the dealer in a game of hi-low and with the goon bar set up it was a drunken night ahead. Conor hit the leaba early. Some great grub was made, macaroni and cheese and some sandy spagetti. Eduard had a few cracker lines again including"if you go to bed with a dirty bum you wake up with a sticky finger" - thats the French for you I guess! Donny Lad tried to stick the pace with Grahmo on the drink........The next morinig a few of us woke up with holes in our heads but again we had to get up and go. Grahmo chased off the Dingos with his massive stick... Din' go there. We had some breakfast and were off to lake McKenzie. Laura got buried in the sand and Elaine and Doni and Jake the snake got locked on the beach. We had a bit of tag rugby too but that was a bad idea in our state. Donny lad didint spill a drop in the car....
It was time to leave Fraser after a great couple of days... Money well spent.... We got back on the ferry with our dodgy lookin pink jeeps and awaited to see if back on the mainland they would charge us fo any damages...
