We left Cairns where after asking around no one had heard of this famous Ian Cairns. He wasn't a legend there any way. We packed up the Outlandish Outlander Jeep n set off for Mission Beach. Instead of the usual 4 traveling we had the infamous Grahmo in the car with us aswell smack bang in the drivers mirror every time.
It was Grahmo that spotted the freaky furniture man in the yellow car, who we couldn't loose. He had thick chunky glasses and could drive while watching us out his side window. We would get past a few cars and maybe a truck or two and then half hour later he'd be behind us. It was only when we would go to refill he shot on by thankfully never to be seen again. After that panic a McDonald's was on the cards to chill the f*^k out n relax.
On arrival to the Treehouse we found this place to be a beautiful haven set in the Rain forest and we were right. They also had a very large rare cassowary bird named Clive, it had to be good
First port of call chill out by the pool. This is where the story game was played. You write a bit of the story and pass it on to the next person with out telling them what you wrote but only letting them see the last word of your sentence. It didn't make much sense but involved reach arounds, toilet sharks and nipple squeezing to the left and right. To say the least it was very funny.
Next a game of table tennis where bones n Clive took on Craig n Conor. I don't remember who won. We went the local market to buy food, drink and Intermission. One problem no DVD player, gutted. Couple of Goons and Beers and food for everyone which the girls cooked. Chili for 14. Good effort girls.
So with full belly's it was off to play charades. I believe the girls may have won but with all the drink that was had I don't remember. (How did you get Zohan) Boys got the syllables chic and go and still couldn't get the word Chicago. There is a good chance we lost.
Clive and Bones had a go on the fire sticks, there good fun but kind of dangerous.
Next day chill by the pool bit of Volleyball, which we are world class at by the way. Catch n throw were bones tactics but what was that smell, Conor was sent back to the changing rooms to sort out his shorts
It was the boys turn to cook, noodles chicken n beef. Great effort boys. (Clive Eoin n Asher) But before dinner a challenge was put forward to Craig from Powers. 4 move powers it was called. It involved one chess board and Powers beating Craig in 4 moves. Laughable effort Powers. 400 moves n you didn't even win.
We then played a game of swings on the Hammocks. Laura and Clive v Graimo and Elaine needless to say that ended with a bump and it was off to bed to get up and head for the magnetic islands the next day.
What a place, one of the best we've stayed in since we left Ireland.
Then more Goon and Beers
