We returned to Punta Arenas several days later after El Calafate and Puerto Natales. We went straight to the Shoe Bomber's hostel, having got off our 7 am bus, to get the football games in. We saw Villa -V- Birmingham and United -V- Blackburn. We then went to the Supermarket and got some cheap food!
AGAIN ALL VERY BORING IN PUNTA ARENAS....AGAIN IT WAS A SUNDAY.... AGAIN WE HAD NOTHING TO DO!!!!
Then the light at the end of the tunnel. Punta Arenas turned into an amazing place after a frustrating ordeal.
We were all set to put Punta Arenas behind us. We had a flight to Santiago,Chile on the Monday morning at 11.15am
"Would you like us to prepare a lunch table Sir"
"And how about dinner"
Conor responded 'no thanks' thinking we might have to pay for the food. The man said "are you sure Sir, LAN Chile will pay for it all"
Conor said ' weŽll have it all, put us down for everything! Woooooo!'
And that was that, our last experiance of Punta Arenas was super stuff. The hotel was class, the luch was savage, the room was amazing!

Up in a Shit plane
. We boarded the plane, no problems. The plane started moving and then we heard a wierd sound as the plane appeared to have slowly moved slightly off the runway while turning. The plane then turned around and went back to the airport. "Tyre trouble" we were told. We had to wait in the airport several hours until at 5pm we were told the flight was cancelled. We were going to be put on the 6pm flight instead. We were all fairly pissed off at this stage as we were waiting in the airport for ages.... We complained and asked could we fly tomorrow and be put up in a hotel... We had no idea what the hotel would be like but we were drawn by the possibility of free accomodation for the night. We got a free taxi to the hotel and it looked fantastic!! Boom, we are all fiends for the hotel accomodation, especially when its free. This hotel was 5 star. Rafael my friend, you have a lot to learn!"Would you like us to prepare a lunch table Sir"
