We arrived in Ilha Grand on Monday afternoon after an adventurous time in Rio. We decided to go to the Island on a fisherman's boat waivering the option of the ferry (cowboys Ted, bunch of feckin cowboys).

The island its fair to say has amazing beaches (amongst the top 5 in the world apparently, sand like grains of salt beneath...), great weather and is a great place to chill out especially after the crazyness of Rio. A few unwanted mosquitos though...

We checked in to the Aquario hostel, where Doni set eyes on the woman of his dreams the lovely Marie Cruz..How could Ugly Betty compete with that...

Why don't they accept credit cards???????????

The rooms were solid... So solid crew that Doni and Craigo decided to book themselves a double room each!

The first night in Ilha Grand saw us go out for a meal and then chill out with a few scoops in our hostel bar...Very quiet considering the carnage to come!!

Our first excursion on the Island was a visit to the local beach...It's a 1 and a half hour boat ride away... We had another cowboy captain at the helm! All to keen to show us his dolphins...The beach we went to was top notch, we stayed there all day and weather was great. Bodyboarding attempts were funny...Craigo what happpened that fin on your surf board??

That night we had a game of kings after the pizzeria! We met a few sound people and we were introduced to a rew new interestin rules... All Irish people having to speak in an English accent was the pick of litter! We played the game drinkin Caparinas...Foolish...No heroes here... Swinging from the Rafters is all I'll say!

We did'nt do much the next day..........................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

There was an all you can eat Barby on the penultimate night..Some ozzy bloke ate 6 burgers...very impressive! We all took it easy apart from the Don who went on a wild one...

Leaving the island proved tricky, we had to get a tiny boat at 5:30 in the morning, our 22 bus journey awaits...

Ilha Grand was paradise to us all...
