Where I stayed
with my girl
Since I do not speak the language, Fabiola has been doing a lot of research for me on language schools and getting me contact e-mail addresses. I just sent out 35 resumes today! I have an interview tomorrow (Thursday) at 2:00pm. It will be interesting to interview for a job with no experience. :o))
So, what else? First off, thank you to everyone who has been sending me notes!!!
To start, I went to the weekly market where they sell a lot of different stuff. Nothing I want to bring back though. ☺ I also saw a Pan Flute band that reminded me of the South Park episode with the giant Ginny Pigs.
I have also been to a fruit and veggie market. Kinda neat. A lot of eggs out in the warm hot air and freshly squeezed sugar cane juice. I do want to tell you that there is a fruit that is a deep purple and just like a kiwi but about 10 times more sweet. Makes you pucker!!
After the market, Fabiola and I went to a museum of Sao Paulo. It was beautiful. The grounds were incredible. Looking away from the museum there are some fountains and then a long downhill road that leads to a tomb of the of the 1st emperor of Brazil and his 1st wife. The long downhill road was overrun by skate boarders and 1 guy that could ride a bike and balance a soccer ball on every par of his body.
The next day, I went and met Fabiola down town and she took me to the top of this building that you can see the entire city from. It is incredible to see how many buildings you can fit into an area.
Last Sunday, I went to a soccer game on my own. I know that sounds funny but I did. The stadium was cool. The field was like an island in the middle of the stadium. The game was good. The fans were a bit of a let down. It was a game between two teams from Sao Paulo......... I guess I had hoped for a mob seen.
Lastly, I went to a big park on my own and took a few pics of the sights.
Life is good and I am hoping I get a job soon!!! I hope you enjoy some of the pics.
Take it easy,
