Rio Dulce, Guatemala

I'm back to Rio Dulce quicker than planned... So we left yesterday after 11 am on the way to the carribean sea. Rio Dulce is on a river about 1h from the sea. We were a group of 11 people from Switzerland, Holand, France and Guatemala. The weather wasn't really good, rain and a bit of sun between...It took us 4h to get to livingston where we stopped to do all the paperwork and had a drink. We were staying on the harbour for the night before making our way to Belize. The weather got worst during the night, heavy rain and really windy... so nobody really slept and we had some rain coming in the boat... In the morning, Babette and Julian, the owners of the boat, called to know about the weather forecast. A big storm was coming on us so they decided to cancel the trip and go back to Rio Dulce. What a shame but well we couldn't do anything about the weather... Most of the people left to continue they trip and with a couple from Holland we're staying for an other night. So they told us we can go over to their house, it would be dryer! Tomorrow morning, I'm going to try to go all the way to Nebaj a small village on the north east of Guatemala. And spend a week or two in the villages around.
Seems the weather is going to be bad until sunday.
