Yesterday morning I arrived at Chetumal at 6am after a very short night. Didnt't sleep well on the bus. I had 6 hours to wait before Guillaume was arriving. So i went in town for breakfast and walked around. Not much to do in Chetumal...

When Guillaume arrived, we went for lunch then took the bus to Belize city. 4h trip and we passed the customs without any problem. And other stamp on my passeport ;o)
We arrived in Belize city by night and as we read in the travel book that it's dangerous to travel by night, we took a taxi who brought us to a Guesthouse. We're in a 4 bed dorm and it's very familial. From the back of the house you have the view on the sea.

Belize was conquested by the Spaniards then the British and was independant only in 1981. So the first language is English, then Spanish and they're speaking a dialect which looks like the creole. So I'm saved, i can understand their language!!!

This morning we took the first boat to go to Cayers Caulker which is an Island at 45 mn by boat from Belize city. It's a very famous place to go diving and snorkelling as the reef barrier is close. So we booked a snorkelling tour for half a day. We left at 10:30 am and went to 3 different places. We saw some beautiful fishes and even went swimmimg with some big raies and sharks. We bought a waterproof camera but I'm not sure it worked... hope we could get a few pictures out...
After lunch, we went for walk around the island then took the boat back to Belize city.

Tomorrow we're heading to Tikal in Guatemala. More bus...
