The silence, the motion, the riffle, patience
The cast, the mend, patience
The hatch, the rise, patience
The lips, the set, the game, patience
Tug of war.

Our first day of fishing on this trip.  And, it was a great one.  It was also a cold one.  It was about 20 when we started out for breakfast at 8 AM.  We headed to the Beaverhead River at about 9:15 and it had warmed to 24.  We got on the  river about 10:30 and had our first fish by 11.

Both the fishing and catching were very good today.  The biggest hasle of the day was ice building up in the guides on our rods that kept the line from going through.  We would have to stop and de-ice every once-in-a-while until about noon or so.  We caught about 20 fish between the two of us.  Better than a lot of days on a river.  Our guide, Ton Cornell, was a great guide for us.

I am enjoying following your trip... Those Browns look nice..what fly patterns are they hitting? Congratulations on braving that cold weather so well, I am more of a fair weather fisherman myself...looks like beautiful country I would like to see..

Bev with a brown trout? It looks like Bev with a strange man! It's a pretty fish!
OK, Charlie, I'm kidding you! We'll talk when you get back in 2 weeks.
