Quebec City is a place that needs more than the time we spent in it.  I wish we had more days to our vacation trip.  My sisters allow me to plan our trips, and I try to incorporate all of our wishes into the things we see.  So back to Quebec City to see just some of the items on our lists.  Peggy wants to see the Changing of the Guard at La Citadelle.  This turned out to be her favorite thing.  Mine was the streets of Quebec City with its old buildings, small shops and restaurants, the street performers, no cars on the streets.  We were also present for the New France Festival and saw people in dress from years ago walking the streets, dancing the minuet, singing in the streets.  Exciting, huh!  Linda's favorite thing was the summit view at Park national des Grand-Jardins.

My sisters and I again took the bus to Quebec City and got off at d'Youville.  We are getting to be experts at this bus thing.  We walked to La Cidadelle and saw the Changing of the Guard.  Workers at la Citadelle warned us quite often that it would be called off if it rained.  We prayed that it would not rain, and it did not.  This ceremony took 45 minutes.  Following that, we went on a tour of the Citadel.  I took my sisters to the lower level of Quebec City, and we ate lunch at Chez Rebelais.  We walked through Notre-Dame-des-Victoires Church and then Musee de la Civilisation.  And guess what!  There is a Choco-Musee Erico, a chocolate museum.  Good smells in here!  Linda wears a pedometer and estimated we walked 5 miles today.
