We have had a great day so far.  Rusti, Rita, and Allan worked at the front entrance to Mission Arlington.  This is where people come in and fill out paperwork to get what it is that they need.  But it is also a place where they have the opportunity to learn about Mission Arlington, hear the gospel, or for a mission Arlington team member to pray for them.  Rusti and Rita are so excited about what they have learned and are processing all they have learned to make the Closet and our apartment ministries as effective as possible.  They are already strategizing how to get the church as involved as you have been warned! :)

Corrie, Carol and myself went to the Medical Clinic to learn and help.  We cleaned, filed, and met some amazing people that give their service to the medical clinic 4 days a week. They only have 1 paid staff member and all of the rest of the help are volunteers from the nurses, doctors, receptionists....etc.  We met one of the receptionists who is 87 years old, a registered nurse and bilingual.  She is serving every day the ministry is open and says there is no reason to lay down her gifts until she is over 100 like her momma!  She got her RN in 1947 I believe!!!  But they don't even have a schedule of volunteers...they just show up and they have never had a shortage they say!

We are going back to Anni's old apartment ministry this afternoon that she and her husband Pat started years ago and it is still we will update you more this afternoon.  We are blessed to be here and see God's people being His hands and feet everyday!

It is so great to read your blog and see all that is going on at Mission Arlington! We can't wait to hear more about what you have learned there, and see how God will put it all together in Crestwood. Thank you all for your time and energy to make this trip happen. We are praying for you!
