An all too-short 6 days were spent in the beatiful Fiji, the first night spent in the Nadi. We arrived at about 8pm in tropical heat even at that time, something we were not at all used to by now. The courtesy bus we were expecting to take us from our hostel was nowhere to be found. Turned out this is due to the fact that they hadnt recieved our reservation as the internet had been down for the last 3 days....They had room anyway and we were able to get somewhere to lay our heads for the night in the capital city (tiny) and get some sleep in between people coming in and out of the room all night. The next morning we explored the city, grabbed the cheapest lunch EVER, even above Thailand standards, and caught a lift with the hostel dudes to The Beach House on the Coral Coast of the main island.
There, Gem and I spent my remaining days lying in the sun, reading, chatting, swimming in the pool and generally chilling out. We attempted one swim in the sea, when the tide was way out and  we managed to cut our limbs to shreads treading/wading on all the dead coral that lay beneath us and feeling guity in the process for making it worse. It wasnt fun, so we stuck to the pool for swimming and the beach for paddling, walks and sunbathing. Also spent some time making jewellery out of coconuts, Gem made me a lovely pendent which is now on a peice of string around my neck - cheers Gemsy! On 2 of the evenings we partook in Salsa lessons, which were awesome. One of our roomies was a dance teacher and she decided to run a few little sessions for us - woo hoo! Otherwise we'd chill with our fellow travellers at the bar, head to the TV room for some trash, or just read in our room. Very relaxing.
