Phi Phi consists of 2 islands - Don and Lay, the latter being a much smaller and uninhabitable island and the location of the actual beach in the film. You can see why it was chosen as the ultimate paradise. It is too stunning for me to describe, I can't do it justice as I am certainly no creative writer, although unfortunately I have already given up my day job. We are staying on the larger island, which again is beautiful, we have a lovely beach ('Long Beach', strangely is actually quite short) which is overlooked by our bungalows at 'Paradise Pearl Resort'. 3 quid a night rooms, lovely jubbly. Today we spent the day in a boat travelling around both islands and snorkeling in between. Came into contact with many Cleaning Fish while snorkeling, these tiny little blue things which literally clean dead cells off the other fish and, apparently, snorkellers. We are all covered in various cuts and scrapes and I have a particularly impressive one on my shin - long story involving a moped, a bungalow and a blonde who got confused between accelerate and stop, but I digress. Had 3 little cleaners at one point eating the scab off my leg, which at the time I though was sweet, but having just put it into words have decided it is actually quite minging. All in all though, have fallen in love with Phi Phi - if you ever come to Thailand (which you really really should) Phi Phi should be high on your "I must go there" list. That's all I have to say x

Did you actually drive that jeep called Joe?? If so, I'm amazed you escaped with only a scraped shin! Hope that gets better quickly and it's not too uncomfortable. You seem to have take to the aquatic life like a fish to water - but that's actually rather a silly thing to say! I'm also glad to hear that the three littls cleaners weren't allowed too long a banquet off your leg - they can eat on... show all

Was the confused blonde you?? Hope your shin gets better! The weather here has returned to good old British drizzle and cloud! Still sounds like we are missing out on sooo much! Tom and I have spent the weekend at a theme park (which was full of children as it is the summer holiday!) with Elyse and Erin... lets just say I would trade places with you any day as much as I love my God children! Keep ... show all
