Well this is my last trip to DC for my job. I gave notice on Friday last week. Yea! I am ready to move on. I have a new job working for a local company doing "stuff". I may travel some with that job but I have 11 weeks of training first.
Again, my flight was cancelled by United out of MSP. Curse that 1:30 flight. It likes to be cancelled. I got an earlier flight and still had lots of time to wait in ORD because the earlier flight was plenty delayed to miss the good connection. At least the upgrades went through. I was able to spend lots time catching up on my Chuck Swindoll podcasts. (I stongly encourage you to look it up. He is a great teacher.) Other than the delays, the flight was uneventful. No one died and no one tested the oxygen tanks.
The Bolger Center is still here. The upgrade to the wireless service I thought happened last time was just a fluke. My room was close enough to the common area that I had wi-fi internet in the room. This time I am a long ways from the common area so no internet in the room. I have to hike to the common area. At least there are comfortable chairs.
Dinner was poor. I had to fill up on salad and dessert. Why was the HONEY Baked ham salty? It should have been sweet. But at least they can still open a box of dessert well. The Viennese Tort (Sacher tort) was good. But they do not use apricot jam. I think it is a raspberry jam. At least the chocolate is tasty. Not to bittersweet or rich.
Hopefully food will be better tomorrow and the staff meeting will go well. Naturalich, I am not too worried. I am moving on.....
