The walking tour of La Boca was brilliant. Boca Junior´s stadium apparently holds 60 000 people but unless they stand on each others heads I just cant see it happening - seriously the place makes "The Parade" look big. Good chance to enjoy some tango and meet people from the hostel.
The last few days have been full of random moments. A couple of examples... I had shared a dorm room with a chap called Ben for two nights including a big night drinking together yet it was only when he started talking about Midget Wrestling in Bolivia that we realised we had the same discussion two months earlier in La Paz
Some huge nights. Last night we ventured out to Diego Maradona´s club somewhere in the gheto of Beunos Aires. The place was huge, the theme was Christmas and the foam party was unforgetable - with all those red G strings, Santa has never looked that good! A night at the appropriately named "Lost" involved Matt and I completely out of control, very nearly ending up in trouble - its amazing what 100 Pesos will get you out of. The best of the nights at an extremely funky bar, Asia de Cuba, out dancing with two great Melbourne girls, Romy and Mads until the sun was well up - it was superb.
With all the manic clubbing and partying with all the trimmings there was always going to be one thing go wrong - happens with a sleep deprived, scattered mind. Yesterday, three days before Christmas, the Brazilians decided it was a public holiday and had their Embassy closed. So Rossy´s, Ali´s and my passports complete with approved Visa´s (we hope) were stranded inside and no matter what we tried, no matter what the bribe, thats where they will stay until the 26th. We were all disappointed, we are all so sorry Gunther to you and all your family - all we can say is we will make it up to you guys when we get there after Christmas!!!
