The planned Chad / Rick split has happened with my bro heading south to the French beaches leaving me to head east towards the goal of Prague in seven days - for us to meet back in Rome in a week or so. First stop for this random tour of Switzerland was Bern. What a brilliant couple of days, a beautiful city, great food and an absolute pleasure to not be staying in a hostel. Massive thankyous to Jo and Matt, guys thanks for showing me your city, driving me around and giving me all the tips on how to get the most out of my visit to this amazing country.

Great beers in microbreweries, a chance to stroll the river watching some fly fishing, a postcard old town and the friendly Swiss people made a couple of days in Bern a pleasure. Last night was another of those random, going to be a quiet night kind of nights that just ended up huge. Shakers on the dancefloor, cool clubs and even cooler "private" clubs - it must be an international thing that medical students know how to have a big one.
