25th Nov. cont.

Luckily for us, in the village Three Rivers just outside the park, we found a nice little place. After registering, we hooked up and cooked dinner. We then checked email and found we had a response from our friends on the coast and had been invited to an open house/left over party tomorrow. Cool, other people to talk to! We then enjoyed a warm shower, watched some television in the campgrounds lounge and then got off to bed looking forward to the party tomorrow.

26th Nov.

Got up around 8am and had a nice relaxed morning, getting the pod up to date, reading, etc. Just before we left the campground we walked down to the river at the bottom of the property and had a look around. In summer, when it's warmer, we could image that it would be lovely here to swim. We then began getting ready to leave, emptying the waste, filling up the water tank, etc. Around 11.30am we set off, heading towards the coast, looking forward to seeing our friends again. Just down the road we spotted a local school were cleaning cars for a donation for their prom, so we pulled in with most of the kids looking over thinking "oh my, that's a big job!". Once they'd gotten over the shock of it and an adult got them organised, there was soon half a dozen kids with sponges, brushes and hoses washing off 25,000 miles of dirt off. They didn't do to well on the roof, and even though I had to borrow one of the brushes and cloths and finish off the job myself, we still thought their effort was worth our $10 donation.
