Where I stayed
Got woken up at 3am to have our tickets checked, which wasn't great as we'd not had much sleep and had only just about dropped off. Managed to sleep on & off until about 9am. We then watched a Brazilian movie in portugese with spanish subtitles (set on Ipanema beach in Rio) and were surprised that we managed to follow what was going on, We think it was a Romeo and Juliet story involving guns and drugs and a really messed up family. We arrived in Foz at 11.30am, caught a couple of buses (where we met a Dutch chap called Case) to the Supernova Hostel that had a pool that wasn't finished yet and a mini Nega (rottweiler puppy). We went shopping and cooked scrambled eggs for lunch and then chilled out in our room. Dinner was tuna pasta with tomato sauce followed by a movie Ice Age 3.
Up for breakfast at 8am, caught the bus to the National Park for the falls
In the afternoon, we headed to Itapu dam (supposedly the largest in the world), where we had a panoramic tour of the dam for an hour or so and then returned to the hostel for an ice cream and omelette for dinner Watched two movies (Surf's up & Nacho Libre) and then to sleep.
