So, we have completed our first long bus ride, a total of 20hrs! Get in! Trancoso is just up the coast from Rio apparentely - the map might not look big to us but this country we have started to discover is a little on the large side! We came here to chill out for a while after the hectic life of the city, nice beach location, nice quaint town with nothing to do but lay around doing nothing. Shame it just rained, rained and rained really. Iīm sure it`s really nice in the sun, apparently Cameron Diaz comes here, whick is always a bonus.

While being in this little washed out town, we have realized that we are not going to make the north of Brazil like we had planned. After living in a country where if you travel more than four hours in any direction you will hit the sea, we are only just realising we have no concept of proper distances - Brazil is a country where each state is bigger than Britain little fishy on my dishy

 . Hmmm i think our plans to travel to the northern tip of Brazil may have been a little ambitious. So, at least the rain has given us us some time to organise some flights to the Pantanal to see some wildlife. However, we wouldnīt have managed to organise this if it weren`t for a a Brazilian girl and her Italian partner who basically found all the info on the internet for us, went to the travel agent and practically booked everything for us too (as I said it was raining, there wasn`t much to do, I don`t feel so bad). Actually, so far on our travels, whenever we have been stuck or donīt understand what anyone is saying to us, there has always been someone who comes out of the dark to rescue us and we are lucky to meet these people. If it hadn`t been for a very wet Transcoso then we would probably be very lost in the jungle right now!
