We`re hungry be back later!

Hello!

Right this is the third and final attempt - finally we start to write something 12 days after our arrival - the idea of sitting down at a computer hasn't inspired us AT ALL, as most of you know, it has taken us three long years to get away from one! Anyway big big hello to you all, hope everything is good. Ok, a quick round up of what we've been up to, it might be a tad random, but there we go, we haven`t got much time, its 38 degrees outside you know...

We are in the gorgeous old colonial town of Paraty and after Sao Paulo and too long in London, it is the perfect place to unwind on the beach Beach Bum
Beach Bum
. We took a scooner trip yesterday around the islands and these are the animals we saw along our way; a big rodent thing (largest in world in fact), dolphins, from about 100 metres away, turtles, fish (of average size nibbling on cath's tits as nice lady threw too much rice into sea that stuck in bikini top), lizards fed on nuclear waste and have grown to size of dragons, one white fluffy dog masquerading as sheep skin rug which took a fancy to Nick's leg, huge butterflies of the brightest blue, and vulchures eating a dead dog.

This place is just beautiful, even with the vulchures; the beaches, the waterfalls (if you have ever seen the terrible film `Swiss Family Robinson` and dreamt of sliding down waterfalls like those in the film, this is the place for you), the jungle, the empty palm fringed beaches we've had to ourselves, the strongest caipirinhas, the beers for 25p, the kilo restaurants, even the buses with ancient turn stiles making carrying rucksacks, tyring to pay and actually getting onto the bus a total impossibility, but really the thing that strikes us the most about Brazil is the warmth and friendliness of Brazilians. They are always willing to go out of their way to help us (and goodness do we need help!) and laugh at our pathetic attempt to speak Portuguese which is damn difficult to get to grips with - just the other day I was ordering the bill on the beach and managed to order myself a massive plate of chips instead (didn`t think to complain though, how british).
