This afternoon we took the Teleferico (cable gondola) up the Cerro San Cristobal (a hill in the middle of the city..elevation 869 meters) to a pool (Piscina Tupahue). For the Langs--the Teleferico was just like the Sky Ride that we used to love at Opryland...only no seatbelts, latched doors or other safety measures! From the pool there was a beautiful view of the mountains surrounding the city. Look carefully to see the snow on some of the mountains. The pool was very nice, and Addy had a blast splashing around. The baby pool was rather disgusting looking, so we opted for the lovely larger pool. You will see in the pictures that she made a couple new friends there: Kate and Fernanda. People ooh and aah over babies quite a bit here!

We had a picnic in a shady spot by the pool, and after one last dip, we hiked down the cerro, through the botanical gardens. It is very hot here. Jeremy informed me that yesterday was the hottest day on record in Santiago. No wonder poor little Addy's face was so flushed all day! We are drinking lots of water.

There is a concert series in the park across the river from where we live tonight through Friday night. Some famous jazz bands from the U.S., Chile, and some other countries (Norway, I think?). They all start at 9pm (dinner time!)...I'll be sure to update you if we go.

Looks like you had another great day! The scenery is beautiful! Unk is getting ready to build a fire..we're expecting ice and or snow!

All of our snow has melted and it's a beautiful but chilly day here. Your pics are just beautiful! Looks like you're all having so much fun! I'm glad Addie adjusted to her new schedule, she sure is a cutie pie:)
