After the coffee tour we headed for the beach and after a few buses we were back on the pacific coast at El Zonte, a beautiful black sand beach. Settled into the hostel and went to check out the beach. Walked along the beach for a bit, the waves were pretty big here and there were some surfers out. We took a dip in the warm waters as the sun was setting, it was a beautiful sunset and the water was just right. After dinner we learned a new card game from some other travelers.
The 28th we spent on the beach, after a good breakfast with a good view of some surfers and one pathetic boogie boarder we grabbed our books and went to the beach. Read, swam, and soaked in the sun till it was time for lunch. Back to the hostel for some good pizza, then back to the beach. The waves were a bit rough and Casey got tossed around a bit but she is tough and was just fine. The afternoon was spent much like the morning chillin till the sun went down. Dinner, playing cards, and bed. Tomorrow we move on, it was tempting to stay another day but there are too many things to see and places to get to. Also the food is not that good here and that is reason enough to leave. Its amazing but 2 months left is not that long to see 2 big countries so we will push on. Its a bit easier to leave the beach knowing that we will be on another one soon enough.
Sorry no pics from here. It was easier to go to the beach without worrying about the camera. Just picture big waves, high cliffs, black sand and beautiful sunsets.
