Well it does get cold here, today pretty much confirmed it. Jody and Niamh put on three layers of clothing before venturing out under the overcast sky, nowhere near as nice as yesterday. In Argentina everyone was out voting in the national elections which meant that most of the shops did not open so we had time on our hands and my chance to workout how to use the pocket map book that our host gave us. As I became increasingly confident this pocket map is quickly becoming my new best friend (after Christie of course), it has almost everything I need. We set out towards the parks of Palermo, renamed lovers lane by Christie who could not help noticing a used condom or discarded packet every ten metres or so along a very nice avenue of trees. Bit of a party last night she giggled which caused some interesting questions to be raised by Jody fresh from his recent sex education lessons. The other discoveries we made today were McDonalds, the Australian embassy which turns out to be just a couple of streets away, and dog feces which are unavoidable unless you have radar vision. When it turns dark you have no chance, or so I discovered. Obviously Jody and Niamh insisted on our visit to Mcdonalds, and we were curious about how it measured up. It was by no means fast food and the cost for a family of four was more than what you could get at one of the resturants nearby. It wont be on our list. Today Christie and I went for our first 10km overseas Jog. Back for a siesta and a home cooked meal.

Jodys Diary

Today we went on a very BIG walk. The walk took us about 2 hours or maybe just a bit less. I was very cold even though I had on Thermals, Long Sleeved T-Shirt, A Vest, Black Jeans and a Jacket. While we were walking we spotted a MacDonald's, so we went and bought something from there. Niamh and I both got a bagel each. The bagel also came with an orange juice. After we had our meals we all started walking again.   Throughout the day we walked and walked and walked and ended up getting muy muy tired. After a while we had a rest and had a snack. We had some crackers and teeth lollies. A while later we started walking again. Later on we came to a place called café Martinez and we had some beautiful food. Niamh and I both shared 2 toasted sandwiches each and half of a very BIG sandwich each. We shared a delicious milkshake which had the aftertaste of Peanut Butter. Later that day came home and played. After that we had dinner and went to bed.

Niamhs Diary

Last night, Jody and I woke up very early in the morning. We got out of bed, had a drink of juice, went to the toilet and got back into bed. Then we went back to sleep, for a few minutes. In the morning we got up had breakfast and set out for a walk. On the way there we found a Mc Donald's, so we went there to have more breakfast.  Jody and I both had ham and cheese bagels, a cup of orange juice came with them. After that we went back onto the walk. We walked past lots of parks and I climbed some trees. We walked about ten Km’s. On our walk we saw six cats. About halfway through the walk we stopped and had some lunch. Then we kept walking. After the walk , Jody and I played our Nintendo DS’s for about an hour and then had dinner, it was delicious. Then we brushed our teeth and went to bed.
