Bariloche is an amazing lakefront town and the main difference between here and the US would be that there are not homes and sprawl over all sides of the lake. It is a ski town, and looks accordingly so, wood and ski shops. Altogether very touristy, but incredibly low key. Sophia and I laze around for most of our days here so far.

We took what we thought to be a ski lift up Cerro Companerio, which turned out not to be a ski slope, but just a tourist attraction to see around the lakes and town. It was a great view and pictures will soon be arriving. It is insane to think that Christmas is around the corner and that it is not cold, rainy and drab here. To all of you that are not here, I apologize.

All that really happened here in Bariloche was the intake of some great food, lazing around the beach for a day (getting sunburnt as hell - who ever knew that there was no ozone layer over South America?) drinking beer. We said goodbye to Melanie, our fellow traveler for about a week and are headed off to Chile.
