We wanted to make sure that we got to drink a fresh, tasty Kolsch beer straight from the source. It was a lot shorter than we thought it was going to be, we were only there for a little less than 24 hours. It was long enough to walk around the city and see some sights. The most impressive thing we got to see was the huge, gothic church located in the center of the city. A fun little fact about drinking at a brewery in Koln; since there is only one beer to drink, they keep track of how many you consumed by making a pencil mark on your coaster and adding them up when you are ready to pay. They walk around with a little carrier full of beer and if you give them a thumbs up they drop one off at your table, and make their mark.
