We met up with our friend, Mike, from Las Vegas for a weekend of fun, sun, and fishing in Fish Lake, Utah. Well, we certainly had fun, but sun and fish were hard to come by. In fact, it snowed the first day! This was the first snow that Bob and I have seen on our trip! Actually, the light coat of snow contrasted with the golden and red aspens and the blue of Fish Lake made for quite a beautiful landscape, as you can see from the pictures. The area is part of the National Forest land, and once beyond the lake area, there are many forest roads leading to solitude and beautiful camping areas. And lots of free range cattle! Mike chauffeured us in his SUV around the area, through the mud and snow, to get a look at the countryside.

Bob and Mike braved the cold one day to go fishing. I opted to keep the home fires burning in the RV (I like to fish, but not enough to do it in weather that requires longjohns. . . .). They came back with no fish--hmmm. . . But they did have some good stories about the ones that got away! It was great to see Mike again, and we had a great time even without the fish!
