Hi all,
Hope this finds everyone happy and healthy.  If you have trouble reading the blog or you don't want to receive it, as always please let me know.  I just got back from a great holiday with Drew, who was visiting for 2 weeks. After taking in a Six Nations Rugby match between Ireland and Scotland, and a few days of work for me and hanging out in Dublin for Drew, we left for Greece, stopping briefly in Athens on our way to Santorini. March is definitely low season, so a lot of places were still closed or had limited hours - we actually went 0 for 4 on visits to archaeological sites, but oh well, using your brain on holidays is overrated anyway.

The views in Santorini were spectacular and we had a lot of fun driving around to various beaches and towns in our little jeep, dodging pedestrians, animals and oncoming local drivers. Highlights were definitely the sunsets each evening, a day trip to a smaller island where we walked around a live volcano crater, and an afternoon at a spa when the weather wasn't cooperating. Luck seems to be improving since the volcano stayed dormant for our entire visit, and I haven't seen a rat in at least a month!

The little towns of Oia and Firostefani where we stayed were touristy but with good reason. They were picture-perfect, clusters of white domed villas and churches separated by winding pathways full of little shops and restaurants. Each town is perched on a cliff dotted with wildflowers and overhanging the crystal blue sea, it's ridiculously pretty.

So now it's back to work for me and back to Canada for Drew. Looking forward to a visit from Erin next week! Hope all of the moves (KM and KB, the Disleys), kid bdays (Owen), new jobs (MM, SN and JB), and ride training (VY and JF) are going great for everyone. Happy Easter egg hunting!

p.s. Greece doesn't have a lot of pubs so I'm substituting my favourite store in Dublin that carries door accessories (no joke): Knobs and Knockers. Brilliant.
