This morning I had my first lie in!! Yaaay! I managed to keep myself up late enough so that I was tired enough to lie in until 10am ish!! Apparently there was also an earthquake this morning.. when I say an earthquake it was literally a tremmor! I didn't feel anything and I was awake when it happened but apparently it was so light I could have thought it was just a truck driving past. I wasn't even aware of it until one of my uncles asked me if I had felt it!

Our plan for today was to go and watch one of my younger cousins, Reuben, at his skateboarding competition at the local skate park! They all did very well and the weather was once again.. beautiful! My mum had told me that it was going to be really cold so to wrap up warm but I really wish I hadn't.

Next my mum and Aunty decided to show me.. riccarton mall! So along with my other cousin, Evie, we went shopping!! Well not really because I didn't buy anything! But W.O.W. this shopping mall was definitely more me!!! Of course.. it was called Westfield Riccarton! What can you expect from something with the Westfield logo?! It had it's own Pandora shop, Starbucks, the usual fast food restaurants and I've finally begun to understand which clothes shops are the ones that would interest me!!

So without further ado.. I am going to correlate the New Zealand shops to their British equivalents:

Amazon: Definitely Urban Outfitters! Same style, same layout.. I'm surprised it wasn't called Urban Outfitters! The only thing it really lacked were the joke books and it stocked less homewares.

Glassons: New look. The same kind of stylish clothes without the hefty price tag! Only thing that was missing was the huuuge shoe section of our British fav.

Cotton On: H&M. Lots of basic clothes such as a large range of vest tops, basic tops, bodycon skirts with a few stylish blouses. Although I didn't spend anything in Riccarton afterwards we headed to The Palms where I did find a fabulous leather skirt at only 29.95 NZD, aka about 15 so pretty cheap!

Whitcoulls: Possibly even linked with WHSmith as some of the stickers had WHSmith on it. Books, stationary, address books, diaries, cards and the same old expensive DVD selection as in the UK

Unfortunately I am yet to find the TOPSHOP equivalent but this is probably a good thing! Not like I need any new clothes why I am here enjoying kiwi land anyway!

While we were there we of course made a stop at Coffee Culture where I indulged in another delicious sausage roll. Something interesting about NZ's coffee shops is that you do not need to ask for tap water.. there is a tap at the side of the till with a number of glasses which you just help yourself to.

Some other shops I enjoyed visiting:

Dotti, Diva, Equip and Colette to name just a few particularly stood out! Diva and Equip are both FABULOUS jewelry shops which sells at cheap prices. Colette is by far my favourite shop though!! Have you ever seen Marc B bags? TOPSHOP sells a small selection of them in their Oxford Street store and online and Colette is literally FULL of bags of this style and again cheap prices! Definitely will have to buy a handbag or clutch from there before heading back to the UK but let's see how much I spend on sightseeing over the next couple of months first!

As I mentioned a little earlier after Riccarton we headed to the Palms mall where I had an ice cream from the New Zealand natural ice cream stand. We then once again headed home for a lovely meal before an evening of relaxation. When we got home one of my other uncles was here, so it was nice to see him and now mum and I are about to watch one of her movies!

Goodnight all x
