After another long drive through South West Victoria (the distances in Australia really aren't exaggerated, they are huge!!!) we cross the border in to South Australia, our 3rd state. After a brief stop at redneck Mt Gambier, to be remebered for its shoot out crime scenes, teenage mothers and blue lake that is actually grey, the sun comes out and we enter the Coonawarra wine region - nice! Thomas is very quickly elected as the designated driver after we visit Yalumba Menzies, Leconfield and Majella wineries for a few tastings and Thomas' catchphrase is "she's drank it already!". That evening we arrive at Naracoorte Holiday Park and check in to our own private cabin, very nice. We manage to fit in a quick game of putt putt (mini golf to all those at home) before dusk and dinner.
