During the summer months Sydney has an open air cinema showing old and new movies every night for a couple of months. It's situated as Mrs Macquaries point in the Botanic Gardens with a fantastic view of the Opera house and harbour bridge. Seeing as we are shark country now we decided it was appropriate to go and watch the movie Jaws. The lay out is great as you get reserved signs to put on your seat and can then go away for drinks and food before settling down to watch the movie. The screen is actually platformed out on the water and rises up when it is time for the movie to start, at dusk just when all the bats start to leave the botanic gardens. Spent half my time watching the movie and the other half looking at the view and the boats going past us. The atmosphere was amazing and everyone gave out a big cheer when Jaws finally popped it!!
