Hey everyone!

Haven't had a very eventful week, but thought I’d keep you guys posted anyways! The week didn’t start off that well (Ipod broke, lost my USB key, got another stupid eye infection, my boss’ true colors came out, etc), but I’ve had a really great weekend!

I went out drinking on Friday night with Sonia and a group of her old schoolmates (about 12 girls total), after which we met up with some of the girls husbands which were all together in a different bar. I ended up getting home around 3:45am, which I hadn’t done in a really long time!! Had tons of fun though and met a lot of great people so that was good!

On Saturday, I got up late (obviously) and walked over to the City. Ok, for those that don’t know Canberra, imagine a page of paper where there is a huge lake in the middle with two bridges going across it. Below the lake is Parliament house and all the govt buildings, which is also where I live and work. That half also has a couple of suburbs which have tons of cafés and restaurants so it’s good. Above the lake is what they refer to as the City, which has more shops and businesses and bars. So anyways, I ended up walking to the Canberra Centre (big shopping mall above the lake) which was about 2 hours walk. Afterwards, I sat in a café for a bit eating more delicious treats when Sonia came to meet up with me and we walked around a bit more. I bought a new Ipod and a new USB and new contact stuff, so I’m good to go!

Saturday night was also quite eventful, as I went to see a Rugby League game! We were watching Canberra vs Brisbane, and I had been warned that the Canberra team pretty much sucked. Surprise surprise, Canberra ended up winning 56-0!! It was quite eventful to watch, and apparently this score was really out of this world as the game usually ends in the 20s. After the game I went over to Chris and Lindy’s house where we had dinner and watched a movie (with their 4 dogs!!!) and then I slept over there given that it’s about a 40 minute drive to my place.

Sunday I woke up early from Chris and Lindy’s and they drove me home. Chris lent me her push bike which is cool because there are tons of trails around here so it’ll give me a chance to get a bit more exercice! The hard thing is to remember to keep riding on the right side… come to think of it, I’ll probably walk my bike to the bike trails, probably safer that way! J Sunday was then filled with more walking around the markets and cafés, did my groceries for the week (bought some more kangaroo, yummy!!) and then met up with Chris and Lindy and some of their friends for some drinks in the afternoon.

This week should be good as I’m heading out to Melbourne next weekend with Sonia and I’m also going over to her mum’s place for dinner one night this week. Overall, things are great! I hope the weather in Ottawa is better than when I left and that everyone is doing great! J Wish you were all here! Take care!

Dad & Diane: Hope you have fun on your mini trip, you guys deserve a little break!!!

Michou: Hope you had an amazing trip!! Will find a time to call you this week if you’re up for a phone date! J The easiest would be in the morning for you; do you think that could work out? If not I could call you in the morning (which would be evening for you).  I called Mom this week, she was happy to get some news and seemed to be doing good!
