South of Praha, I instantly fell in love with this charming little town. Our little hostel, Hostel 99, was great and was run by a lively young Italian who would come though the door and yell in a high pitched voice, imitating Ricky Ricardo, "Lucy I´m Home". With most of its original furnishings still in place the Castle here was very interesting and the grounds were just beautiful. My only frustration wast that it took me half a day to do my laundry as I went from shop to shop trying to get change for the machines - nobody in the entire town seemed to have any 100 crown coins. One woman tried to sell me a packet of tea instead and was quite affronted when I eventually communicated in my best sign language that all I wanted was change. Maybe she thought I was wildly gesturing-you´re an ugly cow- who knows. I also managed a very sedate horse ride in the country with a group of Australian girls staying at the Hostel. It was my first time on a horse and my horse knew that I didn´t have a clue what I was doing so she would just follow the other horses and stop and turn without any commands from me. So I have no equestrian skills but it was fun all the same. We rounded off our afternoon with a delicious Chai tea at a gorgeous little vegetarian restaurant with great atmosphere. My visit here sadly was all too brief.
