So it's the final weekend here in Blighty, knowing that my thoughts are half here and half on the hoilday time's a ticking and my thoughts are 'What have I forgotten to do...?'  My mind is being pulled in a 1000 different directions right now.

I should be buzzing to be going on holiday but though I'm still at work, my mind is just trying to get everything done as much as I can do before I go, not a good feeling, stressful :(

I'm sure that when I get going on Wednesday then all things that I'm worrying about will simply melt away into the background and I'll be able to focus on my passion for travelling :)

As you can tell probably by now my thoughts are everywhere, I'm thinking at a 100mph, my fingers typing frantically to keep up, I should meditate or do something to calm myself.

Well if your reading this, welcome and hopefully this hasn't scared you off already ha ha, my upcoming trek is to Central America, it's so close now, almost within a hair's breadth:

Mexico, Belize and Guatemala - 21days :-D

Just saying it those three amazing countries just roll together like peas and carrots, with such amazing culture, people, food and sights and scenery!  Even just thinking about it now is raising my spirits dramatically, outside my window the sun is shining, and I'll soon be heading out off to see my team Arsenal one last time before my trip, hopefully the lads will do the business and give me a win to keep my spirits up there.

I forgot to mention that I signed up for a "Better Travel Photography" evening at Intrepid Islington on Tuesday night, a free event, hosted by Ben Pipe, who I'd never heard of before, but when we got there, about 30-40 people were already there, sitting down in the audience, the lights darken and the talk begins...only there's no talking...  At first we're all sitting there and Ben just starts a slide-show, I know I'm not the only one to be thinking this, but after the first minute my thoughts wander to "Are we here to see someone browse their photo album?".

It was a slow start, in the rows in front of me, I see many bums shuffling in their seats also getting a bit ancy and uncomfortable at what they are seeing as well, finally the ice is broken by the first questions thrown at Ben from a front row patron, which spurs him on, I guess Ben isn't a natural presenter but is now in full swing.

His photo's were of Cuba (been there couple years back) so I reminisce and compare his shots to mine, but better yet is he shows pictures from Guatemala which is where I'm heading too on this trip, so this should be amazing inside information for me as a keen amateur photographer.

Thing is with these events is that you can't complain it's free, so ask yourself what do you want?  Look, here you have a guy whose a freelance photographer, goes to these countries not on a tour like I'm about to do and his shots take him hours to accomplish because of the lighting effects the way he builds the shot, these can only be got either late evening or early morning, so not sure exactly how this helps sell tours, but what the heck it's free I got something from it so thank you very much :)

Relax, relax, relax, breath!!! I'm saying to myself right now, okay so for me I think I've printed out all the itinerary I'll be needing, this last weekend is so packed with work and things to do I don't see how I'm going to relax...

Gonna get ready to go out now, so after today it's just 3 more days to go until the journey begins...

Carlos :)
