Inevitably, I woke up at 5 o'clock and tossed and turned! I got up early in frazzled, travel mode! I had a couple of cups of hot water and whilst staring at the world map in the hostel, I met Anton (Swedish) and we talked about all the places we would love to go to.

In those moments I felt so humble and fortunate. I hope I never feel any different. I set off (with trepidation) on time to walk to the airport shuttle. My left leg and right knee were still quite sore. Early morning Cape Town was really quiet and I marched my way to the stop without pause.

Driving out of Cape Town, I looked at Table Mountain and smiled. "I hope I see you again", I thought, “…and soon…” Thank you Cape Town, thank you South Africa but most of all thank you Africa. The airport seemed quirt and there was no queue at all at the check in desk. Getting through security was all good (my bag was opened and checked of course) and then the waiting game continued.

I bumped into Cherie and Jason in the departure lounge. One last final reminder of Odyssey and my adventure down the east side of amazing Africa! We boarded the plane and flew out of Cape Town on time flying over Simonstown, False Bay and back round over Robben Island and onto our scheduled stop in Johannesburg. You would think I had never been on a plane before given my over excitement in relation to the luxury of the plane. On board camera, map, screen with so many films to chose form. I watched Battle: LA; on the flight to Johannesburg. I had worked my way through “Thor” , ”X:First Class” & “Super8. I have watched more films today than in the last five months. I made a lad Dave from South Africa and we enjoyed drinking wine with the flight attendants who were happy to serve it!
