Yesterday was a very relaxing day at the hotel. While Mark slept for a few hours, I caught up on the latest celebrity gossip and did many crosswords from magazines fresh from Heathrow! We went a walk along the beach and bumped into an amazing guy. He took us to a garden and showed us all the different types of tress and spices. There was a cinnamon tree, lime tree, banana tree and more which I can't remember! Anyway turns out the guy is a Christian. He was telling us how, 10 years ago he had been addicted to alcohol and had tried to kill himself 3times. Then at his lowest point, he went along to a church and was saved. He hasn't looked back yet!
Had a buffet at the hotel last night. When one of the signs at the dishes reads "very spicy prawn curry", it's really not exaggerated. I stupidly thought it couldn't be that bad - my mouth was burning for 10minutes!
After arriving this morning, Mark met the kids for a few minutes. After unpacking, showers and lunch, we headed "downtown" to stock the fridge. We have made an exercise pact that we'll always walk 1.5km down to Food City! Our excuse for not walking back is because we have heavy bags! While waiting to leave Food City, Mark fulfilled what mist have been one of his boyhood fantasies - we managed to talk a local into him letting Mark drive what can only be described as a trailer with a lawnmower attached to it! All I can say is boys and their toys!
In between today I have been marking the English exam papers. There were a range of marks as expected but overall I was pleased with the results. We have just finished sorting out the prizes for the Sports Day next week which means there are hundreds if bags of goodies in boxes!
