Coconuts

Today in Preschool they started to make their paper mache coconuts. They have been left to dry so the next stage will be glue and then it's time to decorate. These particular coconuts aren't the brown, furry ones, they are smooth and orange. The larger king coconut, which is the one you drink, reminds me more of melon than the coconut we're used to.

Barnuka

The afterschoolers did the same as Tuesday's class - learning to recognize numbers in words. They also learnt "How old are you?" and how to answer. One of them thought I was 35 - I'm hoping it was because they got their numbers mixed up! They were really good today-they all deserved their gold stars.

Paper mache coconuts

Tonight we had a visit from Pastor Victor and his clan (wife and 3kids). He's heading to UK on Monday for a month to attend a conference and to do some preaching. Gordon is putting a slideshow together for him of pictures of the church, him and his family, so they came to see the photos. The 3 children seemed to be entertained as we played "peek-a-boo" behind the settee! He has invited us around for dinner tomorrow night which was nice of him. Although let's hope it's not raining - their house has no roof!
