My new city...

So after driving around the Great Ocean Road for a bit my mom, Loretta and I headed onwards to Melbourne. Here we met up with Kevin for lunch. Lunch was good, nice to catch up and eat some good food, although it was one of those fancy places where the entire meal is like two bites worth...but at least it tasted delicious! We decided to split up after this since our plans didn't really coincide, so I had to say goodbye to my mom and Loretta. Saying goodbye to my mom was really hard! I am going to miss my parents so much....
After some tears and saying goodbye Kevin and I fiound somewhere to stay for the night then started walking and exploring Melbourne. We found a groovy little jazz bar where we just had to stop for a beer. Then we found a cute mom and pop joint where we ate some delicious Indian Food. That night we did a bit of a pub crawl going to 3 or 4 bars, the majority of which had live music. I insisted that we get gelato on the way home and he insisted on eating a hot dog with all the toppings. I forgot about the late night munchie shops that stay open just for the bar goers....and i love how the bars stay open until 5 AM, this is my kinda town :) The bar scene is totally hip and young, most of the people here are in there mid twenties to late thirties, so we fit right in. Sunday Day we did a bunch of errands around town and got to explore the city a bit more. I picked up some cheap fresh produce and the Queen Victoria Market, which is this HUGE open air market that sells all sorts of stuff, kinda like a flea market. I had to say goodbye to Kevin though, because he worked on Monday at the winery and I decided to stay in the city, since there wont be much for me to do at the winery and I havent seen much of Melbourne yet. So here i am! its monday and I plan to go to the art museum (literally, across the street from where I am staying) and do a few more errands. I found out good news about where we are staying....they provide a car that 6 of us share, so I might not have to buy one. I just need to figure out if I can ride a mountain bike to and from work (depends on how much traffic there is and how small the road is). but it would be much better than buying a car, which I started to look into and seems like a big pain in the butt. we also found out that we are living in a nice house on the winery with a french couple and two Argentinians. its pretty funny cause those are the exact two countries Kevin and I were planning on going to next! hopefully we will get to pick up the language.... thats all for now, but i will make sure to bore you again soon!
