If you have never been to South America there are a few things that you
will need to know when staying in a hotel. The most important thing is that you can't flush your toilet paper. There is a small garbage can next to the toilet that you put it in. The first night I was in the hotel I flushed some paper out of habit and about an hour later the owner was out back shoveling out the septic, oops. Getting a toilet seat is a very rare occurence also. I'm not sure why this is. Also make sure that you have hot water if you want it. Do not assume that you will have hot water and some places only have it
for a few hours a day so make sure. Make sure you know the voltage of where you are going. Peru is 220v, Ecuador,Columbia,Venezuela is 120v, just like ours. All of my things ran on 220v just fine. My electric razor actually ran slower. Make sure you carry small bills of the local currency because alot of places can't cash larger bills. I'm not talking about hundreds here, I'm talking about twentys being a larger bill. More thumbnails ...
