Road : main roads in the mountains are good. Secondary road in the mountains are really narrow and not in good condition. In the valley along the Indian border, the main roads are ok but it's overcrowded! You can put more daily mileage with the road in the south of Nepal.
Petrol : The petrol shortage is real! Especially difficult in the mountain areas. Paid 2,50 to 3 usd/liter when buying from a guy in the street. If you're lucky and find a station with petrol, the price is 1,20 usd/liter. Easier to find petrol in the cities in the valley along the Indian border. Fill-up when you can.
Food : Hmmm...Mainly ate in Kathmandu which is more expensive. 7 usd/meal in a restaurant in Kathmandu.
Accommodation : Everything was full and slept where we could...A descent guest house would be 25 usd/night. The only place where you can find a descent hotel are in Kathmandu and Pohkara. The rest is just dead and dirty...
Weather : Nice and sunny! It's the perfect season to go to Nepal...temperature ranged from 11 to 28.
Currency : Nepalese Rupee, 1 usd = 62 Rp.
My high : Clearing the bikes from the customs.
My low : The people!
Total days in country : 7,5 days.
Mileage done : 1350 km
Total riding time : 28,5 hours.
Number of riding days : 4,5 days.
Average riding time per day : 6,3 hours.
Average time on the road per day : 9,5 hours.
Average riding speed (excluding the stops) : 47 km/h.
Average riding speed including the stops : 37 km/h.
Average mileage per day when riding : 300 km.
Average mileage per day (inclusive of the no riding days) : 180 km.
Highest altitude : 2670 meters.
Highest Temperature : 28
Lowest Temperature : 11
Highest Mileage : Kathmandu - Amile, 400 km.
My conclusion of the Nepal visit is that I am overall a bit disapointed. The landscapes and sceneries are just awesome but I found the people were not friendly. Beeing poor and wanting to make money is a thing...But I felt there was a bit of aggressiveness that was caused by desperation due to the poor leadership of the country. People are just really unhappy. Finally, there are drunk people all over the place and didn't feel safe. Funnily, when you're in the south of the country, people are friendlier...Probably because it's less "touristy"...I would definitely go back for a trekking trip to the mount everest (not alone!) but I wouldn't stay more than a day in Kathmandu...
