OK, I'm all set to go! Finally! Got my "Carnet de passage" as well as my visas for India and pakistan. Concerning the Iran visa, I used a travel agency in Shiraz and my first demand got accepted. So now they are doing the official demand and if I am granted the visa, I will have to go and pick it up at the Iranian consulate in New Delhi (There are no iranian consulates in Singapore). Unfortunately Sarko had to open his mouth lately and explained that he's aligning himself to Bush's foreign policy concerning Iran and their nuclear program...And somehow I have doubts on Bush's diplomatic capabilities...Well, I don't know yet how much of an impact it will have on me beeing able to get my visa, neither do I know how I will be greeted in Iran if I manage to get in...I'm watching the japanese motogp (it's the last time I will be watching for the next 3 months!) before taking off. I dont really know where I am heading yet or where I will stop...Depends how sore my backside gets...The only thing I know is that I am leaving at 2 pm today the 23rd and that I have to be Bangkok on the 26th of September because I am meeting an Irish guy called Kevin. I met Kevin on the internet and he's doing a similar bike trip and we are suppose to meet in Bangkok to do a bit of the trip together. He's going from Australia to Ireland. I find it rather incredible that Kevin decided to do the same trip, at the same time and with almost the same bike! It's a sign...I'm happy to have a buddy I can ride with and if I am willing to have a few Kilkennys and if he can make a bit of effort to drink "Ricard", we'll get along just fine...I had Kevin on the phone and had a hard time understanding his super strong Irish accent which pushed me to imagine that he has red curly hair...haha. Anyway I will upload pictures of us and we'll see if my imagination played tricks on me!

Have fun Chris
I wrote you a message but can't see it appear. I did the trip twice from Europe to India by fourwheeler a long time ago. It will be cold in Iran and Turkey. Minus 40 in January. I leave next week from NL to drive my camper to the Syrian border. From there follow the Turkish Riviera into Greece, Italy, the French Alps then Spain. Will be at Syrian border mid November. Maybe we meet. Marc.

Re: have a good one ma poule !
C'est vrai que j'aurais pu tomber sur pire qu'un irlandais...Par exemple sur un americain de 60 ans en Harley davidson et qui veut faire la guerre en Irak...

Hi Marc, I will be near the Syrian border around that time if everything goes well.
